Is dobby becoming a bank?

No, not at all. With the integration of Swan's ‘banking as a service’ functionality, you will soon be ahead of fellow administrators, as you will be able to manage accounts directly from your management software. This enables you to quickly and efficiently create new accounts, greatly reduce startup costs, monitor the full activation of accounts, manage proxies and quickly execute all incoming and outgoing transactions for each building in dobby.

What is the added value of banking in dobby?

Banking in dobby allows you to open new accounts from your dobby software when you start a building dossier. You have instant insight into the procedure for each account and can check the current state of activation at any time. Once the new account is active, you can process all incoming and outgoing transactions in dobby. Managing account proxies is also a breeze. Wasting time waiting on the phone with the bank is a thing of the past.

Are the necessary licenses and guarantees in place to offer this service?

dobby is not becoming a bank. We are integrating banking functionality to make building management easier than ever for administrators. To achieve this, dobby is collaborating with Swan, a financial institution headquartered in France and licensed by the French regulator (ACPR). Swan operates in Belgium in accordance with European passporting rules and is in the process of establishing an office in Belgium, which will come under Belgian regulation and supervision. This means that—like in Belgium—the FGDR protects customers with a deposit guarantee of €100,000.

What accounts can you create through banking in dobby?

dobby allows the creation and activation of Belgian IBAN accounts. You can also manage proxies and execute transactions quickly and easily in dobby.

Do I need Codabox or Isabel in addition to banking in dobby?

No. The accounts you start through dobby can be managed through banking in dobby. You no longer have to wait a day to see transaction processing in your owners’ association account. This applies to all incoming and outgoing transactions.

Do I need a Belgian bank in addition to banking in dobby?

No. For each new or existing building dossier, you can create the necessary accounts and activate the associated management in dobby. You no longer need a Belgian bank to open a new account.

How is it that dobby is able to accelerate the turnaround time and reduce startup costs so dramatically when opening an account?

Swan, the financial institution we work with, provides exclusively digital services and has managed to increase the efficiency of the account creation process to make it up to ten times faster than traditional banking procedures.

Can you transfer existing accounts into dobby?

No, you cannot transfer existing accounts from a Belgian bank into dobby; only new accounts can be activated.

Can you process full transactions in dobby?

Yes, all transactions for each account can be managed in dobby just as you did previously through your bank.
